In our product range, we can start with powder coating spray booths. Powder booths are designed to apply powder coating on metal parts by charging the part with negative ions.

Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface to be coated. The charged powder adheres to the electrically grounded surface until it is cured under heat or ultraviolet light to form a hard and durable finish.

Powder coating offers a number of advantages over traditional liquid paint, including:

  • Durability: Powder coating is a very durable finish that is resistant to chipping, scratching, and fading.
  • Corrosion resistance: Powder coating is also very resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor applications.
  • Environmental friendliness: Powder coating is a more environmentally friendly finishing process than liquid paint because it does not produce volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Wide range of colors and finishes: Powder coating is available in a wide range of colors and finishes, including gloss, semi-gloss, matte, and textured.

Powder coating is used in a wide variety of applications, including:

  • Automotive: Powder coating is used to coat a variety of automotive parts, including wheels, bumpers, and trim.
  • Appliances: Powder coating is used to coat a variety of appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers.
  • Electronics: Powder coating is used to coat a variety of electronic devices, including computers, TVs, and smartphones.
  • Furniture: Powder coating is used to coat a variety of furniture, including metal chairs, tables, and cabinets.
  • Industrial equipment: Powder coating is used to coat a variety of industrial equipment, such as machine tools, conveyor belts, and electrical panels.

Powder coating is a versatile and durable finishing process that can be used to protect and enhance a wide variety of surfaces.

Applications Where Powder Coating is Used

Powder coating is a dry finishing process that uses finely ground particles of pigment and resin, which are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the surface to be coated. The charged powder adheres to the electrically grounded surface until it is cured under heat or ultraviolet light to form a hard and durable finish.

Powder coating is used on a wide variety of surfaces, including metal, wood, and plastic. It is a popular choice for many applications because it is durable, corrosion-resistant, easy to apply, and environmentally friendly.

Here are some specific examples of applications where powder coating is used:

  • Automotive: Powder coating is used on a variety of automotive parts, such as wheels, bumpers, and trim.
  • Appliances: Powder coating is used on a variety of appliances, such as refrigerators, stoves, and dishwashers.
  • Furniture: Powder coating is used on a variety of furniture, such as metal chairs, tables, and cabinets.
  • Industrial equipment: Powder coating is used on a variety of industrial equipment, such as machine tools, conveyor belts, and electrical panels.
  • Medical devices: Powder coating is used on a variety of medical devices, such as implants and surgical instruments.
  • Electronics: Powder coating is used on a variety of electronic devices, such as computers, TVs, and smartphones.
  • Outdoor equipment: Powder coating is used on a variety of outdoor equipment, such as patio furniture, playground equipment, and sports equipment.
  • Architectural: Powder coating is used on a variety of architectural elements, such as railings, roofing, and window frames.

Types of Powder Coating Equipment

There are three main types of powder coating equipment:

  • Fluidized bed: Fluidized bed powder coating equipment is the most common type of powder coating equipment. It uses a fluidized bed of powder to coat the substrate. The powder is fluidized by a stream of air, which causes the powder particles to become suspended in the air. The substrate is then dipped into the fluidized bed of powder, which coats the surface of the substrate.
  • Electrostatic spray: Electrostatic spray powder coating equipment uses an electrostatic charge to apply the powder to the substrate. The powder is charged by a high-voltage power supply, and the substrate is grounded. The charged powder particles are then attracted to the grounded substrate, which coats the surface of the substrate.
  • Corona discharge: Corona discharge powder coating equipment uses a corona discharge to apply the powder to the substrate. The corona discharge creates an ionized cloud of air, which charges the powder particles. The charged powder particles are then attracted to the grounded substrate, which coats the surface of the substrate.

In addition to the three main types of powder coating equipment, there are also a number of auxiliary pieces of equipment that are used in powder coating, such as:

  • Pretreatment equipment: Pretreatment equipment is used to clean and prepare the substrate for powder coating. This may involve degreasing, phosphating, or etching the substrate.
  • Curing ovens: Curing ovens are used to cure the powder coating. The curing process melts the resin in the powder, which causes it to flow and form a continuous film on the surface of the substrate.
  • Conveyors: Conveyors are used to transport the substrate through the pretreatment, coating, and curing processes.

The type of powder coating equipment that is used will depend on the specific needs of the application. For example, fluidized bed powder coating equipment is typically used for large-volume applications, while electrostatic spray powder coating equipment is typically used for smaller-volume applications.
